These water heaters can either supply hot water at 0.5gpm and 105°F to 1 – 3 sinks, service a hand held shower upto 2 gpm, or supply emergency eye & face wash fountains with continuous temperature controlled water pre-set to 100-140°F.

They can also be used as a steralisation booster heater with their optional higher temperature setting of up to 180°F, making them perfect for sanitation situations.

They provide flows from 0.7-2.0 gpm. and can be fitted with flow restrictors that allow for a pre-determined flow rate (0.5 gpm to 1.0 gpm) which lets you provide a controlled flow to two faucets whilst maintaining good temperature control.

The Paloma PH28C Commercial Water Heater Range

The Paloma PH28C Commercial water heater is available in models for both indoor and outdoor installation in commercial premises. As a single system it will provide an endless supply of hot water for a small premises, but it can be built to a multi unit configuration using the Paloma Multi Unit Controllers; MIC-180 for 2-20 unit systems.

The Paloma PH28C offers two unique safety features:

1. Oxygen Depletion Sensing. Constant sampling of CO levels, that if high will cause the fan speed to be adjusted. If this does not solve the problem, the burner will be turned off automatically and an error message displayed.

2. Film type Overheat Sensing. This senses all areas of the chamber for overheating. Many competitors only offer one point sensing.

What is HRS35 Copper Alloy?

For water heaters Copper is a wonderful material, it is a ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity, pure copper though is rather soft and malleable and can stain water and enamel in baths and basins. However, creating a copper alloy by adding various other metals, significantly changes the properties of copper which makes it useful in many applications. HRS35 copper is an alloy mixture of other elements, these include small amounts of tin (Sn), cobalt (Co), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), and phosphorous (P). The blend of these alloying materails produces a stronger copper alloy that has increased durability and resistance to heat fatigue, staining and out-performs standard copper while still maintaining its advantages.

Takagi partnered with a copper manufacturer, researching and developing this alloy and discovered it to be much stronger and harder than the standard C1220 copper used in most other heat exchangers. HRS35 has 8 times the tensile strength of standard copper, even at high temperatures and is resistant to the damaging effects of erosion and stress fractures.

Takagi uses HRS35 in the pipes of our heat exchangers on our commercial units. This gives the Takagi ‘Mobius’ tankless range; the T-K3-Pro, T-H2, T-M32 & T-M50 a leading edge against other tankless manufacturers who only use standard copper. Takagi also takes durability one step further by manufacturing the entire drum of the heat exchanger 25% thicker.
